The last day of the SWATCH FIVB Beach Volley World Tour St. Petersburg Open featured the men’s final between Pedro Salgado and Harley Marques of Brazil and the Russians Dmitriy Barsouk and Igor Kolodinskiy.

The last day of the SWATCH FIVB Beach Volley World Tour St. Petersburg Open featured the men’s final between Pedro Salgado and Harley Marques of Brazil and the Russians Dmitriy Barsouk and Igor Kolodinskiy. Much to the Russian fans’ regret the match ended at 2-0 in favor of the Brazilians. After several mistakes in the first set the Russians managed to take the advantage in the second set but were not able to keep it – it could probably be caused by their three winning Saturday matches against strong opponents. Nevertheless, the Russian team was fighting till the very end and kept the rivals in play, but later lost at 23-21 score.

Earlier today the consolation final was held that was also won by the Brazilians Marcio Araujo and Fabio Luiz.
